Significance to History

He was considered to be one of the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance period, his work demonstrated a blend of psychological insight, physical realism and intensity never have seen before. He sculpted many things like the Pieta, a sculpture of Mary holding the dead body of Jesus on her lap and the statue of David. He also painted many things like painting the Sistine Chapel.
